COLOURS, ADDITIVES & SWEETENERS IN FOOD
January 1st 1996 marked the introduction of three new Statutory requirements regulating the use of
Colours Sweeteners and Miscellaneous Additives in Foods in the UK.
All three implement recent European Directives and should be read in conjunction with Directive 89/107/EEC - the additive framework directive.
Implementation of the Regulations will naturally gain momentum throughout the year.
