Hygiene for Spa Pools
Spa pools are increasingly found in sports complexes, health clubs and hotels. The relatively small volume of water in relation to bather load combined with a raised temperature and agitation of the water makes considerable demands on the disinfection and filtration systems. Careful pool management is essential to prevent deterioration of water quality.
Regular bacteriological testing will provide an assurance that operating conditions are satisfactory. It is recommended that such tests are carried out at least once a month and more frequently when the pool is used intensively.
